I fell in love with economics as a way to understand markets, history, businesses, and societies. From that, I formed a core belief:
Long-term human prosperity and flourishing is entirely driven by technology inventions enabled by human ingenuity; and it’s fueled by positive-sum games.
My part in that is to dedicate my work to rigorous and unrelenting focus on building businesses that pull forward a future of increased human and planetary flourishing.
My work is focused on turning amazing products and services that should exist into great businesses. Currently at Meta, I’m focused on the financial strategy and business operations for next-generation AI wearables, so maybe we can be more engaged in our surroundings.
Prior professional stints have included being an excel and powerpoint monkey, broadening financial access, and accelerating a transition to abundant, cheap, and reliable energy.
This website is my way of ‘learning in public.’ It’s a place to track my thinking over time, clarify my own ideas, and share what I pick up.
You’ll find evolving thoughts on:
- Investing: My approach to investing in public and private markets.
- Essays & Musings: Longer-form thoughts on climate entrepreneurship, mental models, career, and more.
- Questions: A running list of what I’m trying to figure out.
- Influences: Notes and reflections on books, podcasts, and blogs that shape my thinking.
- Artifacts: My personal templates, guides, and “instructions to self”.
